Bummer

I thought the photos would come out clearer on here. The one of my girlfriends son is good, but the other two are still not showing up too good. I know they print out better than that though. I love my new camera...and can't wait to use it even more.

So I got a new camera!

And I am so excited...I took photos this weekend at my son's swim meet, and my goodness they were so fun...they turned out so well...10 mega pix is awesome! Although it does take up a ton of room on my computer...I am going to have to get a storage device for mass photos...I am signed up to take a "Get to know your camera" class that starts on Wed. night...Oh my gosh, I am too excited, it is going to be great.
I will post a photo or two that I have taken, and see what you think.

The Interesting Thing...

about the photo that is posted is that it is about 10:00 am in the morning, the sun is coming up and I believe it was about -5 degrees out. We were out at Camp Maranatha, for a retreat, and the snow had freshly fallen, about 18 inches, and when the sun came up it was all pink and shining on the beautiful snow. I took several couples photos that morning, and some of them even used them in their Christmas cards!... I love this photo of Daniel and I.

So I entered this contest, and there were four rounds...Round One ~ I won the page and card division, and received two twenty dollar gift certificates. Round Two ~ I didn't enter a card, and my page came in second. Round Three ~ I won the page, and received another twenty dollar gift certificate. Round Four ~ was the hardest and final round, which they gave us a packet of paper, stickers, a flower and two pieces of ribbon...we couldn't use ANY of our stuff, only what was in the packet...it was VERY hard. I came up with the UGLIEST page I have EVER made, and a card that was not my favorite, but it had a secret trick to it, so people thought it was cool. I won the card division and received a $50 gift certificate...All and all I won $110's total, which I quickly spent in the store... :)

Anniversary Card

My husband and I had a 20th Anniversary Party last Saturday night, and all my friends thought they were coming over to celebrate us...but I tricked them and made all of them Anniversary cards also! We played games and had food and had a lot of fun...

My son Ted needed a birthday card for his girlfriend. I made two, and was really not satisfied with them. So I got on the Cricut website for inspiration and ended up coming up with this Card...Hope she likes it!

This is my latest project I just finished

This was a Cologne Tin that I kept. I decided it would be a great altered tin for my Birthday Party Pictures!

This is when my Royal Subjects came to my work and totally surprised me with a new throne, and wisked me away from work. My friend Debbie crowns me with a new tiara!

That pink Tiara on the page actually lites up when you press a button. We all had to get a photo together at Little Millers...Then we drove to Eagle River and went to the playground to swing and slide down the slide...

We ate dinner at Garcia's, and of course we took every opportunity to take pictures that we could!

There was a sign that said "Sizzling Fajitas" that we all had to get our picture under...On our drive home we stopped up on Trunk Road and flagged a person down to take our photo's out in a field. He was so nice and took every photo we wanted with 3 different cameras!!!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
We had to stand like Pink Flamingos...that was a blast!

The end pages are of "The Queen being Outstanding in Her Field" and the end of the evening having "Creme Brulee'" for birthday dessert. Then we all sat in the Hot Tub for some good laughs and relaxing!

I've Been Tagged!

Carrie, thanks for thinking of me to tag! This will be fun!

Eight Facts about me:
1. My biggest dream is to share my testimony and my love for the Lord with women all over the world. I was just recently taped for a Christian radio station in Anchorage, Alaska. It should begin running the week of July 15th, 2007. (93.7)
2. I absolutely love being creative, but feel like I don't have near enough time to do all I wish I could. And I look at others scrapbook pages and think that I don't even hold a candle to what they do...so I guess I am insecure about that...Who woulda thought?
3. I love being real...and I love REAL people...I am usually pretty upfront with people, and I try hard not to be judgemental or critical. I know that people are just human and we all fail at some point. So who am I to judge others?
4. I have been married for twenty years, to my husband Daniel. He is an awesome man, who has taken very good care of me for a long time. He is very creative also, but in manly ways...if there ever was any type of emergency, he would be the one I would want to be with, because he would just know what to do.
5. I love the color pink...and I love pansies.
6. Being a mom has always been harder than I ever thought it would be.
7. I used to drive an 18 Wheel Semi Truck for Mayflower Moving and Storage.
8. I have many embarrassing moment stories, and I love to tell them!!!

I can't talk!!!

I found out on Wed. that I have Vocal Cord Nodules...and the best cure for it is to not talk...so I am taking two weeks and not speaking, at all...all Doctor recommended of course!!! I got all my affairs in order the last couple of days, and now I will be silent...I started today...it hasn't been too hard yet, but I am wondering if the reason I have been feeling a little dizzy today is that all the air I usually use to talk, it is just bound up inside of me, and making me dizzy!!! LOL...My family of course is laughing at me because of all the different signs I make with my hands, trying to get through to them...they think I should wear a dry erase board around my neck!
Anyway...I am going to try to get some photos of my art work on here this week. Thanks for being patient with me...

Still no photo's but thought I would blog anyway!

It is almost 11:00 pm and I just got home from a really long day at work...Sometimes I really have tough days at work...and I am so tired when I get home! LOL...I bet everyone feels that way when they get home huh?
Anyway, I am sorry that I still haven't gotten any photos of my pages up yet, I will try to do that soon.
I wanted to let Kristy know that I go to Church on the Rock, which meets at 9 am and 11:15 am . If you are looking for a good church come see us...we are growing leaps and bounds by the day...I love my church and everything about it. I am involved in womens ministry there and we have a lot of activities for all ages.
So come check us out if you are looking for a church home.
We have a BIG church picnic planned for the 15th of July at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School. It will be from 3:00 to around 7:00.
It is loads of fun, especially for the kids, there will be all kinds of things for them to do.
Well, I need to go visit with my hubby before he falls asleep...
Life is good, and the joy of the Lord is my strength.

Scrapbooking

I am new to this blog stuff...I am on the design team for The Mad Scrapper and have been asked to make a blog site for others to see...this means I have to get some photos of my pages onto the blog...I haven't done that yet, but will soon.
I love to scrapbook. I tried really hard not to, for several years! I was a devoted rubber stamper, and just didn't want to scrapbook too...I have a little room in my house that I use to store all of my supplies, and when I didn't scrap it was called my Stamp Room...one day I was talking to a girlfriend and I said, "just a minute I have to go into the Scrap Room" and she said "oh no...it's happened...it used to be the Stamp Room...that is so sad!!! LOL...that is when I realized ~ I am hooked...
There are just not enough hours in the day to get all the scrapping done that I would like to do...Anyone else feel that way? LOL...

Govenor's Picnic and Military Appreciation Picnic

Govenor's Picnic and Military Appreciation Picnic
When I went to this Sarah gave out blue star flags to each person who had someone in the Military. I got to tell about my son Ted who is a Marine and my daughter RuthAnn who is going to boot camp on Sept. 22nd. Sarah hugged me and said I was a brave Marine Mama!
